Strange Boat - Organ Donation Awareness

Strange Boat - On a life giving journey

News & events

The Irish Transplant and Dialysis Games held in Dublin from June 14th - 15th were a great success again this year.

Fun, laughter, friendship and plenty of chat, the hallmarks of transplant and dialysis sports Irish style! All were in abundance at this year’s National Games held in Dublin from June 14th to 15th as over 100 people came together to celebrate life and the generosity of organ donors and their families. games

Our competitors ranged in age from 10 years old to over 60 whilst our supporterscovered an even broader range. Friendship came easy over the weekend and everyone played their part in ensuring the success of the Games experience. The involvement of family and friends through participation in fun events and in helping to run the two days made the experience a truly collective one.

The singing and the banter over dinner on the Saturday night was amazing, as person after person willingly took the microphone and sang. Lots of great memories and a great platfom to build on for the 2010 European Transplant & Dialysis Games which Ireland will host.
