Irish Hotels Federation Donation to Strange Boat
At the recent Irish Hotels Federation Annual Conference Gala Dinner held at Lyrath Estate in Co. Kilenney, €5,700 was raised in support of the work of Strange Boat Donor Foundation.
Heart transplant recipient remembered
Family and friends of the late Austin Dobson, came together for a fundraising event in Oldcastle in Co. Meath (January 21st) to remember and celebrate Austin's life and to raise awareness of the importance of organ donation.
Living Donor Programme highlighted
A living kidney donor was featured on the RTE Claire Byrne Live Show on Monday, 13th February, highlighting the very important and effective living kidney donation programme.
Global Organ Donor Commemorative Project
Organ donors and their families were remembered at a a unique global commemorative event held on November 30th. The project was initiated by Strange Boat Donor Foundation, in association with Organ Donation & Transplant Ireland, and helped promote the cause of organ donation globally.

The Winter '18 edition of Support Magazine produced by the IKA, once again, covers relevant and interesting stories relating to the organ donation/transplantation community.
