In Memory of Luke Daniel O'Brien May
The family of the late Luke Daniel O'Brien May from Limerick recently visited the Circle of Life Garden in Galway where they planted a holly bush in Luke's memory.
Record number of transplants in 2017
There was a record of 308 organ transplants in Ireland last year, including five pancreas transplants following a two-year suspension of the procedure.
Organ Donation Education Day at Mater
The 2018 Organ Donation Education Day for hospitals in the Ireland East Group, Dublin/Midlands, the RCSI and Dublin North East Hospital Group was held on October 4th at the Mater Hospital.
European Organ Donation Day
European day for organ donation and transplantation was held on September 9th, 2017. It was organised by the European Directorate for the quality of medicines and health care, Council of Europe.
